Nederlands: Beschrijving R.W.Tadama kondigt, te Amsterdam, den Vrede en Verbintenis met de Franschen aan

De jurist Reinier Willem Tadama (1771-1812), advocaat Hof van Holland, kondigt op 18 mei 1795 in Amsterdam het twee dagen daarvoor in Den Haag gesloten Alliantieverdrag tussen Frankrijk en Nederland af. Het gebeuren speelt zich af op de Nieuwmarkt bij de Waag; op de achtergrond is de Geldersekade met de Schreierstoren te zien. Tadama was van 1795-1798 secretaris van Amsterdam en werd in 1798 de eerste agent (minister) van Justitie. Was daarna lid van het gematigde Uitvoerende Bewind. In oktober 1798 kwam een eind aan zijn politieke loopbaan en stapte hij over naar de rechterlijke macht. Prent uit: P. Loosjes - Vaderlandsche historie, dl. 30 (1803).
