Description
Español: En el año 1579 se comienza el retablo mayor de la Basílica de El Escorial, según trazas de Juan de Herrera. Jacome da Trezzo dirige el proyecto, interviniendo, la escultura en bronce de Pompeo Leoni y el especialista en mármol y jaspe, Juan Bautista Comane que terminarían la magna obra en 1588, con la pintura de Federico Zúccaro y Pellegrino Tibaldi.
