Description
Deutsch: Riegsee, Am Kirchplatz 4, St. Stephan. Detail: Deckenfresko im Langhaus. Es zeigt im unteren Teil die Ortskirche (ohne Sakristei, der Turm in gedrehter Darstellung), im Hintergrund das Estergebirge mit der Hohen Kiste, vor der Kirche der Pfarrer mit Frauen und Männern in Tracht. Im Mittelfeld des Bildes stellen die Heiligen St. Leonhard (graues Gewand, Abtsstab) und St. Stephan (im Gewand des Diakons) die Vermittlung zu Christus, Gott Vater und – ganz oben mit der Taube symbolisiert – dem Heiligen Geist dar. Der Maler Franz Kirzinger hat dieses Fresko (lt. Text auf dem Stein rechts unten im Bild) 1792 gefertigt.
