Español: Capilla funeraria de la Piedad, Iglesia de San Miguel (Oñate). El obispo Rodrigo Mercado de Zuazola, siendo Presidente de la Chancillería Real de Granada, contrató, en esta capital, a Diego de Siloe (1528-1529) su mausoleo en mármol granadino, posteriormente trasladado a su Capilla de la Piedad. Entra en el grupo del nuevo arte funerario, junto a Domenico Fancelli (1509), arzobispo Diego Hurtado de Mendoza; Antonio Sansovino?, cardenal Pedro González de Mendoza; Aprile de Carona (1520), Pedro Enríquez de Quiñones, o Vasco de la Zarza (1520-1524), obispo Alonso Fernández de Madrigal. |
