Model - Rosie Year Taken - June 2014 Camera - Canon 5d mkiii Lens - Canon 70-200mm f/4L IS USM ISO - 400 Location - Her Home Follow me on Twitter Follow me on 500px Follow me on Google+ Rosie So this time, my time with Rosie was limited and a little hurried. I arrived at her home at 8am and had less than three hours to grab some shots with the new camera before I headed for Dorset and some time in the countryside. She was, as ever, incredibly welcoming and having just got back from Las Vegas, incredibly tanned! We tried to grab some different shots from last time, but I wanted to replicate the images Id recently taken with the Sony A7R so that I could get a bit of a comparison to the new Canon. I have to say, Im not disappointed. Thoughts on the Canon 5d mkiii Well, I love it. Sure, it doesn't have the overall resolution of the Nikon or the Sony, but its just so damn usable. It does everything you ask it to, first time, without ever messing things ups for you. Its a professional camera, and it takes amazing images. It packs into its sensor enough resolution to make the majority of images detailed enough that the tonal graduation is pleasing and smooth. The colour rendition, in my opinion, is more realistic and pastel-like than the higher resolution cameras which blast colour at you and over-saturate the images. It renders skin tones better than the Sony. In all honesty, its my favourite camera! Will be writing a full review for my website soon. |
