GULF OF ADEN (Aug. 20, 2013) Quartermaster 2nd Class, right, and Quartermaster 1st Class Kennath Freeman raise the Romeo flag as the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) pulls alongside the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Cesar Chavez (T-AKE 14) for a replenishment-at-sea. Carter Hall is part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26th MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
