English: Inscription refering to the refoundation of the church in 1658 at the south wall of the west porch: «Église construite en 1658 par les soins et aux frais de Messire Charles Castel Seigneur de Saint-Pierre et de Madame de Saint-Pierre née Gigault de Bellefonds. La forme est celle d'une barque renversée en souvenir de la barque de Saint-Pierre. The form is that of an overturned boat in memory of St. Peter's boat. The portal below the tower and the aisle are [?].” The end of the last sentence cannot be deciphered but refers to the oldest part of the church which predate the construction works in the 17th century.
