Description

עברית: בית היתומים שְׁנֶלֶר או בית היתומים הסורי היה בית יתומים נוצרי שפעל ברחוב מלכי ישראל בירושלים עד מלחמת העולם השנייה. שימש כמחנה צבאי של הצבא הבריטי, ולאחר מכן עבר לידי ההגנה ובהמשך לצה"ל. ב-2008 חדל מפעילות ונסגר. במקומו צפויה להיבנות שכונה חרדית. המתחם כולל 70 דונם ובו שש חצרות עם בתי מגורים, כיתות לימוד, כנסייה ובתי המלאכה.
