English: Pupils of progressive boarding-school Schule am Meer (School by the Sea) on the East Frisian island Juist in Prussia. In the center of the picture, between those sitting in front, stands a pupil with glasses who is Ernst Heinz Joseph Halberstadt (born on 19 November, 1912 in Frankfurt am Main, Grand Duchy of Hesse, German Reich; deceased on 18 August, 1997 in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, USA), in school called "Nepo", after emigration named as Ernest J. Halstead. Sitting in front on the right is Ulrich Sild (* 4 July, 1911 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary; † 9 May, 1937 at Hochschwab (Mountain) in Styria, Federal State of Austria), who organized and directed mountaineering and ski tours for S.a.M. to the Dolomites.
Deutsch: Schüler des reformpädagogischen Landerziehungsheims Schule am Meer im Loog auf der ostfriesischen Insel Juist in Preußen. In der Bildmitte steht zwischen den vorn Sitzenden ein Schüler mit Brille, bei dem es sich um Ernst Heinz Joseph Halberstadt (geboren am 19. November 1912 in Frankfurt am Main, Großherzogtum Hessen; gestorben am 18. August 1997 in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, USA) handelt, in der S.a.M. „Nepo“ genannt, nach Emigration: Ernest J. Halstead. Vorn rechts mit dem Blick zur Kamera sitzend Ulrich Sild (* 4. Juli 1911 in Wien, Österreich-Ungarn; † 9.
