Nederlands: Schutters van Wijk V onder kapitein Matthijs Willemsz. Raephorst en luitenant Hendrick Lauwrensz.Matthijs Willemszn Raephorst (1599-1638) was een van de vier kapiteins die de intocht van de stadhouder prins Frederik Hendrik in Amsterdam in 1628 begeleidden. Mogelijk naar aanleiding hiervan bestelde hij met zijn manschappen een groepsportret bij Nicolaes Pickenoy. Vóór de komst van Rembrandt naar Amsterdam, begin jaren dertig, waren Nicolaas Pickenoy en Thomas de Keyser de toonaangevende portretschilders van hun tijd. Zij hebben beiden meerdere schutterstukken op hun naam staan. In deze voorstelling hield Pickenoy vast aan de traditionele groepring van de manschappen in twee rijen, gescheiden door een balustrade. De imposante triomfboog middenachter doet enerzijde denken aan de doorkijk op Badens' schutterstuk in deze gallerij. Anderzijds wijst het vooruit naar hetzelfde motief op Rembrandts Nachtwacht uit 1642. Identificatie Titel: Schutters van Wijk V onder kapitein Matthijs Willemsz.
