Summary edit

Description
English: 703 Eighth Avenue, First Hill, Seattle, Washington, USA. Currently Bishop Lewis House, a work release facility. According to the late Walter Crowley, (National Trust Guide Seattle, Appendix C, p. 249) this is the Judge James T. Ronald House, but it is wrong, that is at 421 30th Avenue South; see Image:Seattle - Judge Ronald House 01.jpg. In fact, this is the former Hotel Vanstone, later Darrell Hotel, designed by Theobald Buchinger and built 1905 by the Farrell Co. (Permit filed October 31, 1904 and building open by May 1905 according to Seattle Times).
