Description
English: Terracotta detail, 814 Second Avenue, Seattle, Washington. The building is now part of the Metropolitan Grill (ground floor), offices of Consolidated Restaurants Incorporated, and some other offices. The Mehlorn Building (1903, often misspelled "Melhorn"; File:Argus - A.Y.P. ed. - Page 4.jpg seems to indicate that it was originally "Mehlhorn") was planned as a 12-storey building, but only 5 stories were built. For further information about the buiding see Summary for 814 2nd AVE / Parcel ID 0939000300, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods (which, indeed, misspells it as "Melhorn" at the top of the page before carefully indicating in the text that it is "Mehlorn").
