Item 179270, Historic Building Survey Photograph Collection (Record Series 1629-01), Seattle Municipal Archives.

English: Ballard Avenue NW near NW Vernon Place, Seattle, Washington, circa 1970s. These buildings are all still there as of 2024, though the Silver Spot Tavern is long gone, as is the Hattie's Hat Barber Shop; that barbers shop and the apparently shuttered business on the corner were recombined into a single storefront, that has housed a number of businesses since, mostly bars. Hattie's Hat itself—the bar and restaurant in the black building partly visible at left—is still there as of 2024.
