As of 2020 these houses are all gone, replaced by university buildings, mostly dorms, which also extend west almost to the bridge.
University Friends Center (Quakers)
These appear to be rail crossing signs. This route, now the Burke-Gilman Trail was still an active railway at the time of this photo.
University Methodist Temple, still extant 2020 but scheduled to be demolished in 2021.
