Description
English: "Wheat and flour port", Seattle, Washington, c. 1915. Large picture of a ship loading and inset of silos. The main picture here is the Great Northern Railway Ocean Dock—a pier with a warehouse and grain elevators—which once stood in Seattle's Smith Cove. Configurations varied, especially because of several fires over the years, but at one time the dock was as long as 2700 feet (823 meters). The land visible in the distance is Magnolia.

The inset is a grain elevator/terminal, presumably somewhere else on Elliott Bay. It looks possibly unfinished here, so it may be the Port of Seattle facility at Hanford Street, under construction in 1915. However, it may also be elsewhere on the bay, including near Smith Cove.
