Description
Deutsch: Der Mischkan ha-Zafon (מִשְׁכַּן הַצָּפוֹן) im Jean-Labowsky-Weg 1, Bad Segeberg ist Synagoge und Gemeindezentrum der Jüdischen Gemeinde Bad Segeberg. Er entstand, indem Architekt Klaus Eggers die Ruine der Lohmühle der Müllerfamilie Rüder, 1853 errichtet und 1893 erweitert, in eine Begegnungsstätte umbaute. Der Mischkan birgt außer der Synagoge den Sidonie-Werner-Kindergarten im Stumpf der Windmühle sowie ein Jugendzentrum, die einzige Miqueh (rituelles Tauchbad) in Schleswig-Holstein, eine Bibliothek, koschere Küche, Unterrichts- und Versammlungsräumen. Im Garten steht ein Mahnmal für Bad Segebergs Schoahopfer und liegt ein grüner Spielplatz.
