Deutsch: Das Ghega-Denkmal nordseitig am Bahnhof in der niederösterreichischen Gemeinde Semmering und rechts der Dieseltriebwagen ÖBB 5144 001-4.
Das Denkmal für den Erbauer der Semmeringbahn, Carl Ritter von Ghega, wurde von dem Wiener Architekt Heinrich von Ferstel entworfen und am 22. Juli 1870, zehn Jahre nach Ghegas Tod, enthüllt. Das Bronze-Medaillon mit dem Kopf Ghegas stammt von dem Bildhauer Franz Pönninger. English: Ghega monument at the train station in Semmering, Lower Austria. |
