Description We visited Chichen Itza on a lovely day in March 2009, arriving before the tourist buses rolled in and had most of the site to ourselves for a few hours. This is my 3rd or 4th trip here and I still enjoy it even though you can't climb on any of the structures. I'm still amazed by the quality of the work, most of it done about 1,000 years ago. I'm amazed by all the astronomical precision of the buildings - I find it hard to believe that the builders of Chichen Itza didn't have outside (ET?) help, but that is just my humble opinion. If you have a chance to visit this great site - go!
