| Description |
This panorama was taken at the foot of Sherbourne Street, at about 11am, 2011 03 20. Two of the nine lake freighters moored in Toronto are not visible in this picture. The southernmost vessel is smaller than it looks, because it is closer. The Stephen B. Roman is a grey vessel moored in the Keating channel, by a pair silos holding cement. South of this vessel are the Canadian Ranger and the Algontario. Immediately south of the Algontario is a slip. The bow of another old-style lake freighter is visible there. Not visible is a second grey cement vessel, the English River moored at the eastern end of the slip, near additional cement silos. South of that slip is a channel to the turning basin. Two additional lake freighters are moored there, the easternmost is visible in this photo. Two additional freighters are moored south of the channel |
