Description
English: Shield of God (England), aka Arms of the Faith, aka Shield of the Trinity -- a slightly synthetic coat of arms, with helm, mantling, crown and Holy Spirit crest taken from a 15th century illustration in the Wernigerode/Schaffhausen armorial, while the red color of shield and mantling is taken from the late-medieval English idea of the coat of arms of God (the Trinity). There's no evidence that the various elements outside the shield were in use in England...
