Français : Shirin recevant Farhad dans son palais - Page d'un Quintet (Khamsah) d'Amir Khusraw Dihlavi (1253-1325) - Copié à Balkh (Afghanistan) en 1503-1504 - illustré vers 1525-1530 - Encre, couleur et or sur papiers - Louvre -- OA 7104 - Legs Georges Marteau. le cartel indiue : Cette oeuvr s'insérit dans le deuxième livre, récit des amours malheureuses du roi d'Iran Khusraw et de la princesse arménienne Shirin. le sculpteur Farhad s'éprend de Shirin et entre à son service puis plus loin : Amir Khusraw Dihlavi (1253-1325) est le peintre de langue persane le plus célèbre de l'Inde. Son Quintet en vers, écrit entre 1298 et 1302 rassemble cinq livres dédiés au sultan 'Ala' al-din Khalji (r. 1296-1316). Marteau acquit quatre feuille d'un exemplaire copié à Balkh au début du 16e siècle. Entré dans la bibliothèque des Grands Moghols d'Inde, où l'on restaura ses marges, le volume fut dispersé à <paris au début du 20e siècle.
