Zu Zeiten der Pest 1348 wandelten schwarz vermummte Gestalten um das Siechenhaus. Sie klapperten und klingelten zur Abschreckung, dass man ihnen aus dem Wege gehen möge, um von der Seuche verschont zu bleiben. Die gruselige Tracht diente als Warnung. Heute gehört das Anwesen der Familie Girstmair, die es als Bauernhof nützt.
