Summary edit

Description
Deutsch: Ulrich Sild (* 4. Juni 1911 in Wien, Österreich-Ungarn; † 9.
English: Ulrich Sild (* 4 June, 1911 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary; † 9 May, 1937 at Hochschwab [mountain] in Styria, Austria), Austrian mountaineer and skier, as a pupil of the progressive boarding-school Schule am Meer on the East Frisian island Juist in Prussia. He attended this open-air school because of his bronchial asthma due to the stimulating North Sea climate. The image shows him on the stairs in front of the main entrance of the school's stage hall which Berlin-based architect Bruno Ahrends (1878–1948) had planned. For his school-mates he organized annual mountaineer and ski tours through the Dolomites.
