English: Dual VU meters of Sony TC-U2, TC-U5 cassette decks (1979).
This was the last and ultimate generation of "all-metal bling-bling" Sonys, with sculpted brushed metal bezels, bronze-coloured toggle paddles and massive control knobs. By 1980 the knobs will shrink in size, by 1983 it will be mostly all over, and by 1985 it will be plastic everywhere. And, of course, classic VU meters will disappear completely.
