English: The South Shields side of the Shields Ferry passenger link across the mouth of the River Tyne, seen from the temporary car park near The Custom House Theatre. In the distance is the North Shields terminal. Three ferries are visible, two berthed - Pride of the Tyne (left) and Shieldsman (right), with the third, Spirit of the Tyne, approaching. Shieldsman is presumably laid up out of service, having been replaced by the arrival of Spirit in 2007. |
