| Description |
English: Originally built at Brighton in 1926 as a ‘K’ class 2-6-4 tank engine named “River Torridge” and numbered A806. She was rebuilt in June 1928, again at Brighton, emerging as a ‘U’ class 2-6-0 tender loco. Later renumbered ‘1806’ and finally ‘31806’ under British Railways, she was withdrawn in January 1964 and in June that year was towed to Woodhams yard at Barry, South Wales. In 1976 she was saved by the Mid-Hants Railway and was in service by April 1981. She moved to the Swanage Railway in 2014 and is seen waiting to depart Corfe Castle on the 15:20 Swanage to Norden service.
