Description
Nederlands: WIJK EN AALBURG - Voor de scholieren in het voortgezet onderwijs begonnen donderdag de centrale eindexamens, zo ook op het Willem van Oranje College in Wijk en Aalburg.

Bij de havo stond wiskunde en filosofie op het programma. Bij het vwo Grieks en scheikunde, en het vmbo trapte af met biologie en Nederlands. Bij de leerlingen op het Willem van Oranje College in Wijk en Aalburg was er gezonde spanning. “Ik ben vandaag iets eerder uit bed gegaan om verder te leren, maar het moet wel goedkomen”, zegt Eva. Zij start om 13.30 uur aan haar eerste eindexamen, namelijk biologie. Medeleerling Marjolein heeft eerst nog even uitgeslapen, ‘’Daarna heb ik alles nog een keer overgelezen en ben ik naar school gegaan’’. In Wijk en Aalburg geen grote gymzalen vol met tafels en stoelen maar gewoon in de klaslokalen. “Een bewuste keuze, omdat leerlingen dan toch een in hun eigen lokaal zitten, kleinschalig geeft ze toch een gerust gevoel”, legt adjunct-directeur Arie van Vuuren uit.



Met de start van de centrale eindexamens hebben ze in er in Wijk en Aalburg al een aantal eindexamens op zitten. Op het vmbo hebben de leerlingen van de basis- en kader beroepsgerichte leerweg hun praktijkexamens al gemaakt. Deze examens zijn al voor de meivakantie afgenomen.
