Description

Op een zaterdagmorgen, nog voor half 8 is het rustig, in het normaal zo drukke, overstap-station van Weesp.

Het station heeft zijn huidige omvang gekregen in 1985, voor de in 1987 deels gereed gekomen Flevolijn. Hierbij is ook de Vechtbrug, die vlakbij het station ligt, verdubbeld. Doordat Station Weesp een overstapstation is, heeft het veel forensenverkeer te verwerken, en is naar aanleiding hiervan een tweede spoorbrug aangelegd over het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal.
