Installation de l'artiste Steve Giasson, visible du 9 août au 9 octobre 2016, sur les vitres du 2-22, Montréal.


VOX est constitué de toutes les phrases entendues distinctement puis retranscrites manuellement par l'artiste Steve Giasson, entre le 25 juillet 2009 et le 24 juillet 2010, à l'extérieur de son appartement. De fait, cette oeuvre conceptuelle peut être interprétée comme le produit d'une surveillance radicale et performative par l'artiste, du milieu dans lequel il évolue et des voix qui le scandent et le rythment. Justifié en son centre, afin d'évoquer graphiquement une onde sonore, ce texte peut se lire comme un portrait par et sur ses contemporains, mais également comme un autoportrait en creux (dans la mesure où il est souvent possible, à la lecture, de suivre les déplacements de Steve Giasson, qui se voit ainsi surveillé à son tour).
