Description
English: Sulphur (diameter: 4")
Locality: Clemens Salt Dome, Brazoria Co., Texas, USA
original description: Bizarre dome shaped sulphur crystal on a felt matrix with locality data inclusions. Actually, a paperweight. It is rather stinky, so not exactly the kind of promo item you would want on your desk. Nevertheless interesting para-mineralogical item. Reads "Jefferson Lake Oil Co. Inc. Sulphur 99.5% pure. Mines - Clemens Texas." The map of Texas reveals that Clemens covers approximately 1/6th of the state. Purchased for $1 at an antique store in Logan, Ohio (summer 2009).
Deutsch: Schwefel (Durchmesser: 4")
Fundort: Clemens Salt Dome, Brazoria Co., Texas, USA
Beschreibung: Bizarrer, kuppelförmig (mugelig, Cabochon) geschliffener Schwefel auf einer filzigen Matrix mit eingeschnitzten Fundortdaten.
