'Eagle Pharmacy - Varságh–Réthy House'. Built in 1891 based on plans of Sándor Michnay builder master, to Béla Varságh. The pharmacy is a notable part of the building. Even in the replaced building has a pharmacy. Former paharmacy also owned by Béla Varságh (1840–1925). Mr. Varságh was local politician, member of school boards, president of the Saving Bank Association. Since 1911 the pharmacy (building) owned by Sr. Béla Réthy (1862–1935). In Réthy laboratorium developed the celandine candy, 'Parrot' clothing dye (of which 60 types were made), Réthy liqueur essences, Vanil tablets etc. In the 1930s the Réthy factory has 100 employees. - The pharmacy named as Eagle Pharmacy. Pharmacy sign was a ceremic bird sttue 2013-2018, since 2018 a bronze eagle statue by János Seres sculptor is on facade. There is a white marble facade plaque with inscriptions: 'From the 1890s to 1945, pharmacist Béla Varságh and the Réthy pharmacist dynasty continued their work in this building. With respect for posterity, it was erected by Sas Pharmacy Bt. of Main Square Sas Pharmacy/Association of Békéscsaba City Protection and Beautification' - 6 Szent István Square, Békéscsaba, Békés County, Hungary.

Sas Patika – Varságh–Réthy-ház. 1891-ben Michnay Sándor építőmester tervei alapján Varságh Béla építtette,-korábbi épület helyén,-az egyemeltes középerkélyes épületet. Varságh után Réthy Béla (1862–1935) vette bérbe a patikát, ő volt a Réthy-féle pemetefű-cukorka, Papagáj ruhafesték (ebből 60 féle készült), a Réthy-likőresszenciák, a Vanil tabletta feltalálója, az 1930-as években 100 dolgozót alkalmazó vegyipari és cukorkagyára is volt. Id. Réthy 1911-tól tulajdonos lett, a fiai ifj. Béla, Károly és István szintén vegyészek és gyógyszerészek voltak. Id. Réthy Béla tagja volt a helyi politikai életnek. Iskoláknak, egy tucat békéscsabai vállalat és társadalmi szervezet vezetőségi tagja, evangélikus presbiter volt. 1950-től ez lett a Gyógyszertár Vállalat Békés Megye 14/1. sz. Gyógyszertár. A Réthy-gyár Kőbányai Cukorkagyár Nemzeti Vállalathoz került (gépestől, receptúrával, doboz- és nyomtatványanyagokkal) a csabai gyár megszünt. 1952-ben, 1970-es években többször átalakították. A gyógyszertár 1985-ben kapta vissza régi nevét. 1996 óta ismét magántulajdon. - A gyógyszertár a madaras cégére a homlokzaton: 2013-2018-ig egy ismeretlen orosházi keramikus 'stilizált madár' szobra szobra volt, 2018 óta egy bronz sas szobor Seres János (1952-) szobrászművész alkotása van a helyén[1] - Homlokzaton: Varságh Béla és a Réthy-dinasztia emléktáblája (fehér márvány, 2019), felirata: 'Ebben az épületben folytatta munkásságát az 1890-es évektől 1945-ig Varságh Béla gyógyszerész és a Réthy gyógyszerész-dinasztia. // Az utókor tiszteletével állította Főtéri Sas Patika Bt. Sas Gyógyszertár/Békéscsabai Városvédő és Városszépítő Egyesület' megj.: Varságh Béla (1840–1925) 1869-től lett a Sas patika tulajdonosa /korábban itt állt épületben volt/, tagja volt a városi és megyei képviselő-testületnek, a Rudolf gimnázium kormányzóbizottságának, tiszteletbeli elnöke az Országos Gyógyszerész Egyesületnek; részt vett az evangélikus egyház ügyvitelében, a Békéscsabai Takarékpénztár Egyesület elnöke, valamint a városi kaszinó elnöke is volt; - korábban itt volt Réthy Béla-emléktábla (fehér márvány, arany betűkkel, 1995), felirata: 'Id.
