SZERBTEMPLOM (all big letter) or Szerbtemplom Gallery /Note: the Szerbtemplom is an official name and it is grammatically incorrectly written expression 'Szerb-templom' means Serbian church)/. Mikszáth Cultural Center Site. Serbian Church Gallery. Contemporary Art Exhibition Venue. Built to Church of the Mother of God in 1911. Planned by Milán M. Harminc (from Budapest). Outside grave crosses with Serbian inscription affixed to the building wall. The church had: only 12 Serb Greek Orthodox people(families?). Since 1988 exhibition venue. Since 1990 'independent' gallery. Temporary exhibitions usually one-two months period.- Part of a local grade protected architectural ensemble - 5 Szerb Street, Balassagyarmat, Nógrád County, Hungary.

A régi plébániaház és egyházi földek eladásának az árából épült 1911-ben, I Ferenc József uralkodása ill. a szerb patriárka Bogdánovics Nedelykovics Velimir idején. Popovej Doszitevics szerzets lelkész budai udvari ökonomikus volt az templom papja és gondnoka. A templomnak: 12 görögkeleti szerb tagja volt. - 'Görögkeleti szerb templom (Kiállítóterem)' címen/néven védett azonosító: 6518, törzsszám: 8155 - Az utca északi térfala 'Óváros, történelmi belváros' (cím: Rákóczi F. útja - Madách utca - Ipolypart út - Ipolyjáró út - Mikszáth K. út által határolt terület) része. Helyi területi védett azonosító: -1122. - Nógrád megye, Balassagyarmat, Szerb utca 5.
