Pars of the Technics RS-M270X cassette deck

Summary

edit
Description
English: Pars of the Technics RS-M270X cassette deck. This 1981 model, built on the already outgoing M85 platform, was the company's first deck with dbx noise reduction. This is the dbx board, with 9 ICs and 43 discrete transistors for just two dbx channel (a two-head deck did not need four channels). Obviously, such huge boards for just one NR system were an overkill, and in the same year Panasonic introduced the single-chip AN6291 dbx. This became the company's reference design all the way to the TOTL models like the RS-B100.
