English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Art historian Jan Hulsker opens the special exhibition of paintings by the 91-year-old painter Kees van Dongen at the museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam. Van Dongen is unable to attend due to illness, but his daughter and brother are present at the opening. With a.o. paintings of the actress Arletty, singer Modjesko, partygoers, a water colour of Deauville, womens portraits, Comptesse de Nailles and a self-portrait as Neptune. With archive footage of Van Dongen during the opening of an exhibition in 1938.

Kunsthistoricus Jan Hulsker opent de overzichtstentoonstelling van schilderijen van de 91-jarige schilder Kees van Dongen in het museum Boymans-van Beuningen te Rotterdam. Van Dongen is door ziekte verhinderd, daarom zijn zijn dochter en broer bij de opening aanwezig. Met oa de schilderijen van actrice Arletty, zanger Modjesko, feestgangers, een aquarel van Deauville, vrouwsportretten, Comptesse de Nailles en een zelfportret als Neptunus. Met archiefmateriaal van Van Dongen tijdens een opening van een tentoonstelling in 1938. |
