Description

a re-make of the Cavern. The original was filled in to construct a rail station. A few years later they re-built the club on more-or-less the same property. The rumor is that the original club was not filled in but sealed off with much memorabilia left behind as a "time capsule". John Lennon's band the "Quarrymen" played here in early 1961 with the "Beatles" doing their first gig in November 1961.
