Add a one-line explanation of what this file represents
Description In Victoria Square, it was carved out of a 12 ton block of Carrara marble. It's believed to be the biggest block ever imported into NZ or Australia up to the time. Carving took a year to complete and involved removing 5 tons of the original block. The statue stands about 3.3 meters tall on a 3.0 metre pedestal which contains a time capsule. Thanks to Bernard Hempseed and James Cook Through Stamps for the information.
