English: The old fire bell The plaque records the fact that the bell was moved here in 1977 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. It previously hung in the Tamworth Road Mill, and would have been rung as an alarm in case of fire to call up the volunteer firemen, and in the early days the necessary horses. |
