Grandpa Dashes Off A Satirical Lyric. Thor Thorson Tandberg, of 14280 Robson, who is 79, joins some of our other readers in commenting on the current silliness of the lyrics of popular tunes. In fact, Thor thundered out a bit of nonsense of his own to burlesque these nonsensical words. He dashed off this satire of the modern song: The night was young and so were we Clasped in of mystery The soothing tune it made us sway Between heav'n, earth and ecstasy. The night it flits so quickly by The morning sun will soon be nigh So time has come for us to part So now we had better start To say to each other good night. You know, the more we look at it, the more we think Thor Thorson Tandberg (what a lovely poetical name!) has written himself the lyrics of a sure-fire pop 'tune. At 79, the Grandpa Mozart of the modern music world!.

The night was young and so were we
Clasped in world of mystery ecstasy
The soothing tune it made us sway
Between heav'n, earth and ecstasy.
The night it flits so quickly by
The morning sun will soon be nigh
So time has come for us to part
So now we had better start
To say to each other good night.
