Found Dead By The Track. Timothy Rogers, of Islip, Frozen to Death at Bay Shore. Bay Shore, Long Island; January 7, 1896.

  • Long Island railroad, due at Bay Shore at 7.S A. discovered the dead body of a man of the village, between the Brentwood road and Saxon ... who sent down two men, A. T. Bedell and LHommedleu, to investigate case. ... by the track. The dead man has been identified as Tim Rogers, of Islip, formerly of Bay Shore. He was about 35 years of age and married. His wife was a Millie Clock, of Islip, a daughter of John Clock, of that place.
  • Mr. Thomson, an 80-year-old shoemaker, residing at Islip, underwent an operation yesterday for a severe internal ailment of long standing, which proved not a success. He is not expected to survive.
