Description
English: 8 October 2011. We have two beautiful adjoining greens at Tottenham Green. This is the larger one. But in recent months it's been allowed to get run down. One symptom of these lower standards was its use for storage of waste and recycling bins, and traffic barriers.

Thanks for your email below on 28 September 2011.

The orange barriers and streets signs were - at long last - removed. Thanks for arranging this.

Please see my two new photos taken of Tottenham Green on Saturday 8 October and posted on Flickr. Can you please let me know what progress has been made on the two "bin issues"?

(1) Have Tottenham Green Under Fives Centre now been given two smaller bins to replace the large orange bin so they can store their waste within the Centre's own boundary? And not on the public footpath along the Green.

(2) Is there any progress on moving the large black recycling bins, currently lined-up on the Green? Have the three ward councillors yet been involved in discussion about re-siting them as planned? It's ironic that nobody seems to have considered them an "eyesore" when they were outside the former public Town Hall building. And whoever complained apparently saw nothing wrong with giving them pride of place on our beautiful Green.
