English: Landscape with plantation buildings
Nederlands: Aquarel. Zicht op plantage Nieuw Clarenbeek, aan de Boven Cottica-rivier. Achterin staan de woning en aanverwante gebouwen van de eigenaar of directeur. Het veld is drassig; er loopt vee rond, en enkele mensen.
Plantage Clarenbeek speelt een kleine rol in de geschiedenis van Suriname en de marrons. In 1789 werd de plantage overvallen door een groep marrons, aangevoerd door de zoon van de bekende rebellenleider Boni, Agosu. Op het moment van de Emancipatie, de afschaffing van de slavernij op 1 juli 1863, had de plantage 97 slaven. Deeleigenaren waren F.
