Description
Русский: Памятник-самолет Ту-124 в Кимрах

Самолет поставлен на постамент в 1984 году. За 25 лет полуразрушился, поднимался даже вопрос о его сносе. В 2014 году заново окрашен. Перевезён к мосту через Волгу в октябре 2018 года с первоначального места установки на Коммунистической улице.

Эксплуатантом являлись ВВС ГДР. Поставлен в Германию 20 августа 1965 года. Зарегистрирован, как DM-SDB. Имел цветовую схему а/к «Interflug». Имел позывной «DM-VBD». Снят с эксплуатации 21 февраля 1975 года, в результате повреждения. Списан в августе 1975 года. В августе 1975 года возвращен в СССР. Передан в МАП, ЛИИ им. М. М. Громова, п/я В-8759. Зарегистрирован 16 июля 1975 года, как СССР-64452. Перекрашен в цветовую схему «Аэрофлота». Списан 27 июня 1983 года.
