Description

The IBM Blue Gene Supercomputer was named New York Blue and is located at Brookhaven National Laboratory. New York Blue is the centerpiece of the New York Center for Computational Sciences (NYCCS). It is a cooperative effort between Stony Brook University and BNL. New York Blue has an 18-rack configuration, at total of 36,864 processors and 18.4 TB of memory. It is the world's fastest supercomputer for general users and is expected to rank among the top ten fastest computers in the world.
