Description

IDAHO NATIONAL LABORATORY WILL EQUIP A TALON ROBOT, WHICH IS COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE FROM QINETIQ NORTH AMERICA.

The robot has a suite of integrated sensors to provide visual, radiological survey, and /or mapping data about areas of the Japanese reactor site that are not accessible to humans due to radiation levels that may be above recommended safety guidelines. The robot shown here is not yet equipped with these devices because the final configuration has not been determined.
