Summary edit

Description
English: Everyone should have a battle buddy, even if you're just going through a field training exercise. A Fort Polk Warrior Leadership Course Soldier (right) assumes a fighting position as a "local village," located at the WLC Rosepine Training Area, is attacked by the enemy. To his left, a "local national," who had earlier tried to endear himself to the Soldier, picks up a "weapon" and volunteers to help defend the village. The action took place during the FTX that takes place in the last week of the WLC. Soldiers spend three days putting into practice the skills they learned while in the classroom. Once the three-week course is completed, Soldiers return to their units as competent leaders, ready to don the stripes of a noncommissioned officer.
