Description
English: At sea aboard USS Essex (LHD 4) May 9, 2002 -- Lance Cpl. Thomas Neiper helps Cpl. Kenyon D. Beavers out of his chemical protection suit during a Nuclear, Biological, Chemical survey team exercise aboard the amphibious assault ship. The exercise tasked the team with detecting and identifying contamination spread by a mock mail bomb. Essex is participating in the combined joint exercise, Cobra Gold 2002, in Thailand.
