Description
English: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Nov. 1, 2002) -- Friendship lights outline the Chilean training ship Esmeralda (BE 43) against the evening sky next to the Naval Station Pearl Harbor Memorial Fountain. The 371-foot steel-hulled four-masted barquentine is the world’s 2nd tallest sailing ship and has a crew of 300 Sailors and 90 midshipmen. The midshipmen recently finished a four-year naval academy training program and will finish their fifth year on a training cruise around the world aboard Esmeralda.
