English: Central Command Area of Responsibility (Apr. 1, 2003) -- Regimental Combat Team Five (RCT-5) 1st battalion 5th Marines secure an abandon trailer with two enemy al-Samoud 2 missiles. UN weapons inspectors had ordered the destruction of these missiles, because the exceeded the 94-mile range set under U.N. resolutions imposing controls on Iraqi arms since the 1991 Gulf War. RCT-5 is deployed conducting combat missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multinational coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraqi's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
