English: Northern Iraq (Apr. 11, 2003) – An F/A-18 Hornet strike fighter assigned to the “Bulls” of Strike Fighter Squadron Three Seven (VFA-37) embarked aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) resumes a combat mission in direct support of Operation Iraqi Freedom following in-flight refueling with a KC-135 Stratotanker. The F/A-18 Hornet is an all-weather aircraft used as an attack aircraft as well as a fighter. Truman and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW-3) are conducting combat missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
