Image title | 030415-N-1050K-012 Camp Patriot, Kuwait (Apr. 15, 2003) -- Master Diver, Master Chief Construction Utilitiesman David Daniels, 41, from Camp Springs, Md., surfaces from a dive with his Kuwaiti counterparts during a recent joint debris clearing operation being conducted at Camp Patriot. Daniels and the members of Underwater Construction Team One (UCT-1), homeported in Little Creek, Va., work side-by-side with their Kuwaiti hosts on a daily basis - reshoring piers, and clearing underwater debris that currently holds the beaches hostage to tidal schedules. By removing the debris, this coalition dive operation being led by UCT-1 ensures the safety of watercraft conducting amphibious and offload operations at Camp Patriot. Camp Patriot is home to nearly 3,000 active duty and reserve Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen forward deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
